Big B just tweeted - we are not coming to IIFA ... IIFA said our services are not required !!
Amitabh Bachchan had been the brand ambassdor of IIFA for over a decade. But last year the bachchans gave IIFA a miss. The reason being speculated was the fact that the event took place in Sri Lanka and A statement was issued by the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce, which said that, the Southern stars and filmmakers would boycott all the Bollywood stars who would attend the event. A protest was also staged outside Bachchan residence by the same group.
But looks like that was not the reason for the miss. Bachchans will not be seen at IIFA this year too. Not sure what went wrong between IIFA and the bachchans but we will surely miss them at IIFA
